November is upon us already, so let’s dive into the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database to see which markets are most active at this late stage of the year.

In November 2021, 176 four- and five-star hotels will open their doors around the world, our dedicated researchers have discovered. We examine which regions will experience the most growth – and highlight some eye-catching properties that are about to complete.

Hottest growth regions in November 2021

North America tops the list on a region-by-region basis, with 61 hotels and 11,939 rooms almost ready for action. 48 of these projects will open in the US alone, making it comfortably the most active national growth market.

Europe takes second place, with 52 imminent openings set to bring 8,260 keys into play. Germany and the UK lead the way here with 11 and eight launches respectively, although the latter wins in terms of added room count with 1,449 keys, versus 1,214 in the region’s largest economy.

APAC will also see significant growth this month – 34 hotels and 6,811 rooms are due for completion in the coming days. Perhaps unsurprisingly, China is the key national market here, with 11 additional hotels contributing 2,551 rooms to its fast-growing hospitality scene.

In the Middle East, meanwhile, 18 projects are slated to launch in November, of which seven are in the UAE. Africa and Latin America conclude the list, with nine and two openings respectively.

Of the 176 new hotels, 117 will be in the four-star category, while the remaining 59 belong to the five-star segment.

This month’s most anticipated hotel openings

Undoubtedly one of November’s most exciting openings, the new Steigenberger Doha will be the talk of the town once it launches. Featuring 220 guestrooms, junior suites, suites and a Presidential Suite, it’ll also offer a large conference centre with a 400 sq m ballroom, and a fitness centre and health spa. Plus there’ll be two international restaurants – one specialising in Lebanese food and the other boasting a 200 sq m terrace – and a shisha bar.

Over in Ireland, The Samuel Dublin will soon begin welcoming guests right around the corner from The Convention Centre Dublin, the International Financial Services Centre and the 3Arena. Although part of the Dalata portfolio, its branding will be bespoke and in line with the surrounding Spencer Place development. This 200-key, four-star hotel will occupy the former London and North Western Hotel, which dates back to the 1800s.

Many TOPHOTELNEWS articles draw on exclusive information from the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database. This subscription-based product includes details of thousands of hotel projects around the world, along with the key decision-makers behind them. Please note, our data may differ from records held by other organisations. Generally, the database focuses on four- and five-star schemes of significant scale; tracks projects in either the vision, pre-planning, planning, under-construction, pre-opening or newly opened phase; and covers newbuilds, extensions, refurbishments and conversions.
