Marriott is ramping up its Chinese presence with the launch of a 513-room dual-branded JW Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Yinchuan.

Marriott International is ramping up its Chinese presence with the launch of a 513-room dual-branded JW Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott hotel in a jaw-dropping statement building in Yinchuan.

A new landmark for one of China’s most culturally rich cities, this property promises to bring JW Marriott’s enriching experience and Courtyard by Marriott’s fuel for passion to the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

A grand entrance to Yinchuan

Now welcoming guests, JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan sit within an architectural masterpiece depicting a sailing ship in Yinchuan, capital of a region known for its history, deserts and the Helan Mountains. Invested and established by Ningxia Genyuan Real Estate Development Co, this 513-key property lies adjacent to Yinchuan International Convention and Exhibition Centre, placing it within a 40-minute drive of Yinchuan Hedong International Airport, home to attractions such as Sand Lake.

“We are excited to welcome JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan to our expanding portfolio in the north-west of China,” said Henry Lee, president, Greater China, Marriott International.

“The opening of this dual-branded hotel demonstrates the growing demand for travel as more travellers seek to discover new and emerging cities across China. This milestone opening signals a new chapter in the dynamic hospitality industry of Yinchuan, and we look forward to bringing our signature offerings to our guests through thoughtfully curated experiences, leaving them with unforgettable memories from our brands.”

Two new guest experiences

Inside the new landmark, JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan offers 247 guestrooms and 32 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the city skyline, a contemporary luxury aesthetic and the latest in modern amenities and in-room technology. The restaurants here include signature Cantonese restaurant Ning Xin Ge with its live cooking experience, the all-day dining venue with outdoor garden JW Kitchen, an Executive Lounge distinguished by its views, and The Lobby Bar.

The property’s signature offerings encourage guests to celebrate being in the present, all while fostering connections and inspiring the mind. These ideas translate into carefully considered concepts such as the JW Garden farm-to-table programme, Family by JW experiences, a fitness centre and an indoor heated swimming pool.

To accommodate the needs of business events, meanwhile, the hotel houses the 1,400 sq m JW Grand Ballroom and 500 sq m JW Ballroom, each with an LED screen. An additional ten multifunctional meeting rooms can accommodate the requirements of groups of all sizes too.

Alongside all of this, Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan, which comprises 234 contemporary guestrooms, welcomes visitors looking to pursue their personal and professional ambitions. Business travellers can expect rooms with flexible work areas and facilities including all-day dining venue The Pavilion and the gathering space Lobby Lounge. In addition, Marriott Bonvoy Elite members who stay here can enjoy the amenities at Elite Club, as well as a 24-hour gym.

Marriott International is based in Bethesda, Maryland and encompasses a portfolio of more than 7,000 properties around the world.
