Chattanooga hails arrival of Marriott’s Aloft brand
Aloft, Marriott International’s lifestyle hotel brand for music lovers and music makers, has launched a 135-room property in the up-and-coming Tennessee city of Chattanooga.
Aloft Chattanooga Hamilton Place offers experiential hospitality within a dynamic mixed-use development in one of Tennessee’s most exciting cities. This new scheme aims to appeal to contemporary travellers looking for something distinctly out of the ordinary.
Aloft expands in Tennessee
Vision Hospitality Group and CBL Properties have announced the launch of Chattanooga’s first hotel to trade under Marriott International’s renowned Aloft brand. Aloft Chattanooga Hamilton Place is located 15 minutes from the city’s downtown area at the Hamilton Place mall, accessible from Interstate 75.
The property is being operated by Humanist Hospitality, a subsidiary of Vision Hospitality Group.
Stephen Lebovitz, CEO of CBL Properties, said: “We are thrilled to have partnered with Chattanooga-based Vision Hospitality Group to bring the unique experience of Aloft to Chattanooga as part of the Hamilton Place Sears redevelopment project. We are actively executing our vision to transform our properties into suburban town centres that offer visitors a variety of experiences.
“The addition of Aloft by Marriott complements the broader Hamilton Place redevelopment plans, which include the addition of The Cheesecake Factory, Dave & Busters as well as class A office space, additional dining options and new retail.”
Freshening up Chattanooga’s hospitality scene
Aloft Chattanooga Hamilton Place promises to bring a new kind of hospitality to the city.
Mitch Patel, CEO and president of Vision Hospitality Group, explained: “Experiences are the new commodity, and Aloft Hotels get that. The brand incorporates technology, design and culture to set it apart from the traditional hotel, and we look forward to bringing this new experience to our hometown of Chattanooga.
“We value our longstanding relationship with CBL Properties, as well as the opportunity to be a part of this special redevelopment at Hamilton Place. Our connection to the community and commitment to its success are significant, and we are excited to open this hotel as part of this area’s transformation.”
Aloft’s latest outpost boasts 135 guestrooms and suites, each with generous 9 ft ceilings, urban-inspired loft-style design and comfortable yet stylish furnishing, fixtures and fittings. The hotel’s highlights include rooftop bar WXYZ and the Re:Mix lounge.
The property also provides guests with convenient access to Chattanooga’s most popular attractions, including Tennessee Aquarium, Hunter Museum of American Art, Rock City and Ruby Falls.
