Radisson Hotel Group has revealed two new signings, as it grows its portfolio across Europe and North Africa.
A combination of building in established markets, plus growth in new destinations along the north of Africa, ensures the group has growing appeal for European travellers. In the Italian city of Florence, a new Radisson Blu has opened, welcoming visitors to the famous destination in style. And on the coast of Morocco, a new property has been announced, meeting the needs of adventurers and surf lovers.
A new destination in Florence
The new Radisson Blu Florence is a significant addition to the portfolio, with 304 guest rooms, many offering great views of the Tuscan hills, plus one of the city’s largest conference facilities, and a full service wellness centre and spa. The hotel features the latest room mix, with family and premium rooms meeting the different accommodation needs of groups travelling together. For major gatherings, the hotel’s ballroom can accommodate up to 450 guests.
“Marking the group’s debut in Florence, this opening not only enhances our portfolio in Italy but also strengthens our presence in one of Europe’s most iconic cultural destinations,” said Yilmaz Yildirimlar, COO, of Radisson’s managed hotels in Europe. “With its extensive event facilities, resort-style amenities, and seamless accessibility, this hotel opens a new chapter in Florence’s hospitality landscape.”
For those seeking a different sort of place to stay, Radisson has now opened Radisson Residences Taghazout Bay. Known as Morocco’s surfing capital, the destination is sure to find its way onto the list of those loving a sport-oriented holiday break. Located just north of Agadir, the coastal fishing village is located in a perfect spot to enjoy great waves, perfect for surfers year round.
The development includes 208 serviced apartments, each having two or three bedrooms, with amenities including two outdoor pools, a space for kids and padel court. A world class golf course is nearby, as is the hub of Taghzahout village. Apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen, making this a great place for those who don’t want to go out to eat at every meal.
A growing Moroccan pipeline
The Taghazout Bay project joins a Moroccan pipeline that includes no less than four projects in Casablanca. There, two hotels are under construction in the new Casablanca Finance City development. The Radisson Blu Hotel & Apartments, and Radisson RED hotel will open in early 2028. Also under construction is the Lincoln Casablanca, a 120 room hotel that will join the Radisson Collation on opening in the first half of 2026. Finally, a Radisson Blu hotel & Conference Centre is planned for Bouskoura, outside the centre of Casablanca, with an opening pencilled in for late 2027.
Elsewhere in Europe, Radisson continues to grow. It will shortly be opening the Radisson Blu CDG Airport hotel at one of the continent’s busiest airports, and will follow that in 2026 with the launch of the Banke Opera Paris hotel, which will join the Radisson Collection.
