Why buy livecookintable – as told by Chef Daniel

Daniel Richter, founder and owner of Genussmanufaktur, a German caterer, cooking school and consultancy, shares his insights and reasons as to why livecookintable is an investment in long-term efficiency, staff satisfaction and personalised guest encounters.

Daniel Richter, founder and owner of Genussmanufaktur, a German caterer, cooking school and consultancy, shares his insights and reasons as to why livecookintable is an investment in long-term efficiency, staff satisfaction and personalised guest encounters.

As a young boy, while most kids were out playing with friends, Daniel Richter was in the family kitchen and cooking meals for the whole family. After his apprenticeship as a chef, he worked at various properties in his home region and also completed further training until 2019 when he finally decided to go his own way.

“Cooking has always been my dream, today it’s my passion”

Before going his own way, whilst working at The Öschberghof, he learned of and worked daily with the livecookintable equipment. Seeing the results, it was an easy decision to purchase livecookintable again for his own company in one of his catering locations.

Chef first learned of livecookintable when they were looking for live cooking equipment at his old property and wanted an alternative for all areas from the breakfast buffet to the banqueting area to the spa catering. During this process, the quality and flexibility of the livecookintable convinced Chef to purchase the equipment, and now repurchase it for his own company.

Another important aspect is the increase in efficiency in the everyday processes of cooking, which livecookintable offers. And this directly links to staff satisfaction, another factor in deciding to purchase the equipment again. When asked about employee satisfaction in connection with this equipment, Chef’s response was “much, because the units no longer need to be set up and taken down and the modules can be cleaned very easily”.

Looking at the functions of livecookintable, the company offers a wide range of appliances from inductions to hot plates to grills. Chef Daniel’s favourite items are clear: the Grill Plus, Wok Smart and MS Carving Station.

Livecookintable’s Grill Plus is a 1/1 GN electric grill suitable for all table frames 3-5. It can hold a continuous temperature of up to 250°C. The Grill Plus has a drip drain all around the surface for a clean grilling experience.

The Wok Smart is the device for boiling, deep-frying and steaming, also suitable for all table frames 3-5. It’s induction-based and has one cooking area/trough.

The Multistation is one of the most versatile products, with multiple add-ons, such as the MS Carving Station. It is a module on wheels, with multiple levels and areas to keep plates, cutlery or chef tools. The carving set-up includes a cutting board with juice trap, 1/1 GN container and heating lamp.

As trends in the industry are changing, chefs are looking to adapt to these trends, and are looking towards the suppliers, such as MEC2, to supply these solutions.

For Chef, the trends are high-quality, yet flexible and personalised offerings, and why he loves and only works with the livecookintable equipment. The words Chef often uses to describe livecookintable are “quality and flexibility”.

Recently, Chef and his team visited the showroom of MEC2 in Eltville, Germany to discuss his current project and discovered the recently renovated showroom, showcasing product updates and recent launches.

During this visit, the Genussmanufaktur team were positively surprised about how much the products have developed since his first purchase only two years ago. The recent pandemic has certainly forced a faster product development than normal at MEC2. With our ‘Be Safe’ hygiene concept, we can ensure that our customers’ high expectations can be fulfilled and offer the highest level of protection against infection in these unusual times.

Nevertheless, Genussmanufaktur and Chef are looking towards the opening of gastronomy in Germany and are preparing to be well ready for this with the new livecookintable equipment.
