Blending together the history and culture of Egypt and France, Sofitel’s striking new 595-key property also boasts a restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud.

Dubai’s hospitality landscape continues to flourish with the addition of Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk. The largest Sofitel property in the Middle East and Africa region, its 498 hotel rooms and 97 serviced apartments elegantly merge modern French art de vivre and Ancient Egyptian heritage with the essence of the UAE.

A top lifestyle and entertainment destination

Located just ten minutes from Dubai International Airport, the scheme is attached to the luxurious Wafi Mall in a remarkable building adorned with a gold pyramidion that takes the form of an Egyptian obelisk, representative of the Luxor Obelisk in Paris.

The hotel boasts a dazzling array of drinking and dining outlets, with notable hotspots including an offering from Michelin-star chef Daniel Boulud and the first international outpost of Taiko Amsterdam, a contemporary Asian restaurant by Chef Schilo van Coevorden.

Meanwhile, French skincare brand L’Occitane takes guests on a Provencal journey through its eight treatment rooms, hammam facilities, top-notch fitness studio and outdoor swimming pool in the shape of an Egyptian ‘key of life’. There are a series of private cabanas to explore as well, including two with their own Jacuzzis.

Swarovski crystal chandeliers complete the look

Among the hotel’s 2,300 sq m of meeting space are ten flexible venues and one state-of-the-art ballroom, where the ceiling is adorned with Swarovski crystal chandeliers in the shape of a star constellation.

And the hotel’s junior guests are given top priority at the AstroKids club, which offers a range of diversions for kids and adults, including soft-play areas, bowling, a kids’ square and access to VOX Cinemas and Magic Planet in Wafi Mall.
