The forthcoming hotel, which is to be part of a new development in West London, will be the second Hyatt Regency property in the UK capital.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that an affiliate has entered into a management agreement with an Olympus Property Holding affiliate to develop a new property. The result, Hyatt Regency London Olympia, is set to open its doors in 2024.

Expanding the Hyatt Regency footprint

On opening, this 196-room property will become the eighth Hyatt-branded property in London and only the second Hyatt Regency hotel in the city following Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. The new hotel promises to deliver the same personalised experience, energy and stress-free environment seen throughout all Hyatt Regency hotels, catering to both business and leisure travellers through intuitive service, flexible work and relaxation space and memorable dining experiences.

A new cultural hub for West London

The hotel is to be a part of a wider scheme transforming London’s 1873-built convention centre Olympia into an integrated convention, entertainment and cultural district for West London. This major development will see upgrades to the Olympia tube and rail station, additional bicycle routes and improved bus connectivity – changes that’ll enable guests to access Heathrow, Gatwick and City airports in under an hour.

Heatherwick Studios and Sparcc are designing this 14-acre site, which is anchored by the Grand and National Halls’ glass barrel vaulted roofs, to include a multiscreen arthouse cinema, 4,000-person music and performing arts venue, 1,500-seat theatre and 2.5-acre rooftop sky garden. The complex will also encompass a number of restaurants, cafes, shops, hotels and 550,000 sq ft of office and co-working space.

The hotel itself is to have a restaurant and lobby lounge with bar and market area, along with meeting rooms directly connected to Olympia.

In London, this hotel will join Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, Andaz London Liverpool Street, Hyatt Place West London Hayes, Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport and Great Scotland Yard Hotel, which is part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Hyatt Place London City/East is slated to make its debut in 2021 and Park Hyatt London River Thames is being lined up to open in 2022.
