Ennismore, the lifestyle and leisure hospitality group affiliated with Accor, expects to open more than 20 hotels through 2025. The additions will see the group enter new markets such as Australia and Ireland, while expanding some of its brands into new continents. And with the hotels will come more than 35 new food and beverage outlets.
“Following a remarkable year of openings in 2024, highlighted by the groundbreaking debut of the Delano Dubai, we eagerly anticipate another bold year of hotel and restaurant openings across all regions,” said Gaurav Bhushan, co-CEO of Ennismore.
Brands expand into new territories
“This year marks several significant milestones for Ennismore and our brands, including heading to Australia for the first time, the grand opening of the first-ever SLS all-inclusive, the return of the iconic Delano Miami and the hotly anticipated arrival of Rikas brands in Europe and the Americas.”
Ennismore will be introducing its Mondrian brand to the Australian market, with the midyear opening of Mondrian Gold Coast. The hotel will feature a mix of studios, suites and homes, promising a new take on luxury coastal hospitality.
Also coming to Australia will be Hyde Perth. Located in the city’s CBD, it will provide a bohemian oasis that will feature an outdoor pool and cafe surrounded by lush landscaping. And in Sydney, 25hours Hotel The Olympia will launch in the converted Olympia Theatre, with more than 100 guest rooms, and a rooftop bar.
Europe will also see a busy schedule of openings across several Ennismore brands. The first half of the year will see SLS Barcelona launch, with a substantial hotel featuring more than 470 rooms, three pools and a spa. Also launching will be Hoxton Florence, bringing the brand to the cobbled streets of the city’s historic centre. The hotel will feature a restaurant inspired by the Italian riviera, with more than 150 rooms.
Midyear, the Mama Shelter brand will launch in the city of Zurich, its first outpost in the Swiss market. Opening in the city’s Oerlikon district, it will feature more than 170 rooms, and a suite of meeting rooms to support corporate users. Around the same time, Hoxton Edinburgh will launch. A combination of several Georgian townhouses, the hotel will feature regular guest rooms but the development also includes several three bedroom apartments, designed to suit those planning a longer stay in the Scottish capital.
A Dublin conversion
And the Hoxton will also be adding a new hotel in Dublin, Ireland. A restoration of the city’s former Central Hotel will create a fresh destination for those looking to spend time in the city, featuring more than 120 rooms, a cafe, wine bar, reataurant and late night venue for performers.
And in the Middle East, it will be a big year of growth for the Rixos brand. Rixos Montaza Alexandria and Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh start the opening schedule, in the first quarter, followed by Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort and Villas. Midyear, the Rixos Hotel in King Abdullah Economic City will be added to the brand’s growing presence in the region.
