The two hotels will be located in Dublin and London, and both are due to open in Summer 2025.
Dublin outpost in a central spot
The Dublin hotel is a 245-room, four-star project which will sit across St. Patrick’s Park and Cathedral. The conversion project will preserve the striking brutalist facade designed by legendary Irish architect Sam Stephenson, and will feature a dedicated art collection for locals and travellers to enjoy.
The hotel will also contain several food and beverage options, including the Living Room, the 24/7 canteenM, and an open terrace.
citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s will also offer societyM meeting rooms open to the public, while the mycitizenM+ membership programme offers perks like discounted stays, late check-out, and free co-working.
The design architect is concrete Amsterdam, with ICA taking over as the local architect. The hotel has been developed by BCP Capital.
London in Olympia redevelopment
CitizenM London is located in the heart of West London’s Olympia redevelopment, a £1.3 billion project. This will see a multi-functional arts space, brand-new theatre, four-screen cinema, restaurants, and cosy cafes brought to the region for guests to enjoy.
It’s set to open in late summer and will be citizenM’s fifth London opening. The 146-room hotel mixes the brand’s signature tech-forward ethos with a nod to local history, thanks to the beautifully preserved Apex Room – a listed living area open to the public.
citizenM will offer societyM meeting rooms designed for creative collaboration, open to the public for everything from brainstorming sessions to team workshops. Alongside the 3 societyM meeting rooms, there will be a 24/7 canteenM.
The design architect will be concrete Amsterdam, with local architects SPPARC and EPR also joining forces to complete the projects.
citizenM was launched in 2008, with hotels in central locations in the world’s most exciting cities, but at an affordable price.
They provide somewhere to work, relax and play, with all hotels providing superfast free Wi-Fi, tech that makes life easy, and world-class art that isn’t ‘hotel art’.
The first citizenM opened at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in 2008. As of November 2024, citizenM’s portfolio has 36 hotels in 21 exciting cities: London, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Rome, Zurich, Geneva, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Austin, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Menlo Park, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur.
