Aloft Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, has opened Aloft Shanghai Hongqiao, marking the brand’s second property in Shanghai. The hotel is located in the West Hongqiao Business District, close to the National Exhibition and Convention Center and the Hongqiao transportation hub.

Location, access, and design
Aloft Shanghai Hongqiao is located on Panzhong East Road in Xujing Town, Qingpu District, within walking distance of the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Nearby attractions include Panlong Tiandi, SHOWAY Outlets, Qibao Ancient Town, and Zhujiajiao Water Town.
The hotel is approximately 5 kilometers from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and 4 kilometers from Hongqiao Railway Station. Metro Lines 2 and 17 are accessible via the nearby National Exhibition and Convention Center Station, offering convenient connections across the city.
This new luxury resort offers 295 rooms and suites with aviation-inspired design elements that reference its proximity to major transport hubs. Rooms feature modern furnishings, plush bedding, 65-inch LCD televisions with screen mirroring, and floor-to-ceiling windows with city views.
Dining, amenities, and events
Dining options include Depot by Aloft, an all-day restaurant serving a variety of cuisines with three private dining rooms, and Re:fuel by Aloft®, which offers snacks and light meals around the clock. The W XYZ® Bar serves signature cocktails and snack platters, with live music as part of the experience.
Amenities include a 24/7 Re:charge gym, an outdoor terrace for social gatherings, Camp Aloft for children, and the brand’s pet-friendly ARF (Animals Are Fun) program.
For meetings and events, the hotel provides approximately 1,000 square meters of function space, including a nearly 400-square-meter ballroom with an eight-meter ceiling and audiovisual equipment. Jeffrey Yang, General Manager of Aloft Shanghai Hongqiao, said the hotel aims to offer a new urban space for guests visiting the Hongqiao Business District.
