The forthcoming opening of Novotel Living Batumi on the Black Sea coast in Georgia will mark the debut of Accor’s new Novotel Living brand.

Created through a cooperation agreement between Accor and Georgian development company Mardi Holding, this hotel will launch a midscale brand for extended stays.

A new concept

On opening in 2025, Novotel Living Batumi will offer accommodation designed for extended stays in two 13-storey newbuild towers also housing amenities such as a spa, swimming pool, restaurant and bar.

The property will also implement the brand’s ‘strata title’ concept in which rooms are owned or rented out while the infrastructure is managed by the hotel operator.

Alexis Delaroff, chief operating officer of Accor New East Europe, said: “We are proud to introduce Novotel Living in Batumi offering extended stay services with the high standards of an international brand to our guests wishing to experience longer stays, while feeling at home wherever they are in the world.

“Batumi is the heart of the Georgian Adjara, a modern resort with mild subtropical climate and rapidly growing tourist infrastructure. It has potential to become a perfect venue for international tourism, business and sport events.

“We are confident that Novotel Living Batumi, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, will become popular among international guests and local residents thanks to its warm and homely atmosphere in such a picturesque place. We are grateful to our partners Mardi Holding for cooperation and are looking forward to implementing this new ambitious project.”

A co-living space

Taking up a prime position on Iberia Street in Batumi, this new Novotel Living hotel will place guests within walking distance of a private beach and close to tourist attractions such as Petra Fortress, Batumi Botanical Garden and Mtirala National Park.

The hotel will house 319 apartments ranging from executive studios to two- and three-bedroom suites, all stylishly furnished. Fully equipped kitchens and in-room laundry facilities will cater to guests staying for longer.

The public space will be curated to have a co-living atmosphere in areas including a gastronomic restaurant and 24-hour lobby bar. Highlights of the property will span a panoramic restaurant on the rooftop, infinity pool and a spa with its own swimming pool and fitness centre, with additional amenities including several conference rooms and a children’s playground.

Commenting on these plans, Nugzar Berishvili, managing partner at Mardi Holding, said: “Mardi Holding is delighted to launch a world-class serviced apartment project in Batumi in partnership with Accor, a global hotel operator.

“Ambitious plans to develop Georgia’s Black Sea coast and turn Batumi into one of the best seaside resorts in Europe support the market development and create great opportunities for launching high quality serviced apartments. Novotel Living is only the first brand from the Accor collection that we plan to bring to the market.”
