The Turkish luxury hospitality group Rixos Hotels has announced plans to open the flagship Rixos Tersane Istanbul property this spring.

Located in the revived Tersane historical district, this brand-new hotel will provide a redefined urban experience fusing cutting-edge luxury with the cultural heritage of this famous peninsula.

A new design concept

Launching this spring as a flagship Rixos property, and the group’s 13th hotel in Turkey, Rixos Tersane Istanbul will be set apart by its location, in the Golden Horn estuary of the Bosphorus river, as well as its place in a development transforming the historic Ottoman naval shipyards.

This property will stand out for its markedly different design to other existing Rixos hotels as it draws inspiration from the local cultural heritage and cosmopolitan urban lifestyle.

Murat Alpman, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, at Rixos commented: “It’s a privilege for the Rixos brand to open what will be the flagship hotel of Istanbul’s revived Tersane district.”

“This development marks a brand new concept and offers guests an unforgettable experience in a vibrant city location with access to superb luxury facilities, exceptional service, signature hospitality, gastronomy and world-class entertainment.”

“From holidaymakers to business travellers, wedding parties to corporate guests, Rixos Tersane Istanbul embodies the city’s cosmopolitan appeal and is the perfect escape for travellers seeking a unique experience combining rich history and heritage with cutting-edge innovation and luxury craftsmanship.”

Designed for a diversity of travellers

At Rixos Tersane Istanbul, guests will be hosted in 432 guest rooms, most with views of the Golden Horn, and 67 luxury suites, which will all have an outdoor terrace, with stylish decor and all the amenities that are synonymous with the brand.

What’s said to become the most spacious lobby in Istanbul will lead to guest spaces including an all-day dining restaurant, home to an open kitchen and a heated outdoor terrace, as well as an exclusive sports club and outdoor heated pool.

The property will offer an array of live entertainment, from live bands to opera and dance performances, with children also catered for at a fun and education centre offering masterclasses in skills such as DJing and ceramics.

Both celebratory and corporate events will be hosted in a 2,027-sq-m ballroom that can be divided into two or three sections, a pre-function area, a 1,600-sq-m outdoor area, and four meeting rooms.

The hotel will be situated 41km from Istanbul airport. The connection will be served by public transport, including a local ferry line, and guests will also have access to a local helipad.
