Radisson Hotel Group has announced the entry of its Radisson brand to Azerbaijan with the opening of a new hotel in the country’s capital, Baku.

Radisson Hotel Baku has made its debut following an extension renovation and the rebranding of what was previously the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Baku.

Brand entry to Azerbaijan

Now open in a prime residential and commercial district of Baku, near the waterfront Milli Park, Radisson Baku Hotel is the hospitality group’s first Radisson property in Azerbaijan.

On the opening, Antoine Moubarak, Regional Director Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan & Eastern Europe, commented: “We are thrilled to open Radisson Hotel Group’s first Radisson-branded property in Azerbaijan with the opening of Radisson Hotel Baku and introduce our Radisson brand to Baku. The hotel’s strong service standards and our global expertise will bring strong value to guests looking to travel to Baku and explore the city’s rich history.”

Nadine Fernbacher, the hotel’s General Manager, added: “We are very excited to re-open the doors of our hotel as a new, and the very first Radisson hotel in the heart of Baku – the capital of the land of fire. Our team is looking forward to welcoming and serving our guests with Radisson’s signature Scandinavian hospitality.”

Baku is known as the City of Winds and is a capital that represents the past, present and future of the country, in part through its historic and modern architecture. From the hotel, guests can discover the celebrated Baku boulevard and UNESCO World Heritage Old City.

Designed for business and leisure

The newly opened hotel is home to 255 stylish guest rooms, including superior and junior rooms with a Scandinavian design touch, aimed at business and leisure travellers. Long-stay guests and families can make use of the property’s spacious studios and apartment rooms with kitchenettes, terraces and the comfort of a home away from home.

All of the hotel’s accommodation offers a combination of stylish decor and a relaxed environment, panoramic views, 24-hour service and an array of amenities such as coffee machines.

Guests are met with the new-look lobby area on entry, as well as the all-day-dining restaurant, Lagom, offering an international menu that showcases local products, along with a modern reinterpretation of local Azerbaijani dishes.

Event space at the property encompasses a range of flexible meeting spaces and a ballroom catering for events of up to 320 people. Other hotel amenities include a fitness centre, luggage storage and a laundry service.
