The cricket-themed Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala has made its debut on the edge of the mighty Dhauladhar range in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Stylish spaces and personalised service are being promised at the upper-upscale brand’s idyllic new resort, which is aimed at both business and leisure travellers.
Bowled over by the Kangra valley
Spread over 30,000 sq m, Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala comprises 120 modern rooms with views over Himachal Pradesh’s picturesque Kangra valley.
Radisson Blu’s latest outpost offers easy access to the region’s tourist destinations, as well as Kangra Airport, and is located just 6 km from Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The resort is a unit of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.
“We are delighted to bring our flagship brand to Dharamshala,” said Zubin Saxena, managing director and vice president of operations in Southasia for Radisson Hotel Group. “Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala is our fourth hotel opening in 2021, which is set to mark new milestones for our business. We seek to add more than 15 new hotels to our portfolio this year, achieving the 100-hotel milestone.”
“We are honoured to open this superb resort in Kangra valley,” added RP Singh, director of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. “Radisson Hotel Group was our chosen strategic partner and we are confident that this hotel will set a new benchmark of hospitality in the valley.”
Going all out for success in Dharamshala
The resort’s standard, superior, deluxe, suite and presidential suite accommodation is complemented by 24-hour room service and several dining venues, from all-day destination The Edge and specialty pizzeria Italian Crust to All Out – Lounge Bar.
Meanwhile, The Spa at Radisson Blu delivers a 360-degree immersive wellness experience for body and mind through a selection of natural, holistic and beauty treatments. Other notable amenities here include a meditation room, fitness studio and temperature-controlled infinity pool overlooking the valley.
Events are held across three banquet halls – Mid Off, Mid On and Centurion – with a capacity of 80 to 100 people, plus an additional outdoor Banquet Deck. There are also family picnic spots and an outdoor kids’ play area to explore.
Vikas Sharma, general manager of Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala, said: “I am confident that the unique combination of the resort’s location, its facilities and the group’s unmatched service standards will prove to be a compelling option for travellers looking for all-inclusive hospitality in the hills.”
