Jerusalem’s upcoming NYX property, Fattal Hotel Group’s latest outpost in Israel, will provide a place to stay in the heart of the Mahane Yehuda open-air market.
Part of the Etz Haim development site, comprising residences, hotels, commerce and culture with internal courtyards, NYX Jerusalem Hotel is being lined up to make its debut in early 2022.
A colourful location in Jerusalem
Fatal Hotel Group’s fourth hotel in Jerusalem, this NYX hotel will span two buildings with a total of 168 rooms, including 12 suites, within the colourful Mahane Yehuda market.
One of these buildings will house 144 guest rooms, along with an expanse of commercial space and a rooftop bar. The other building, which is designated for preservation, will be home to the remaining 24 guest rooms, plus a restaurant, lobby bar and balcony.
Underground parking, a fitness centre and a swimming pool are also being planned for the hotel.
An exciting design partnership
Notably, this property has been designed by architect Ian Bader of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners – the same architectural firm that helped modernise the Louvre in Paris – in partnership with the Barely, Coby Levitzky and Moti Kassif and Feigin architectural firms.
The NYX brand, part of Fattal Hotel Group’s hospitality portfolio, is a lifestyle brand aimed at providing an ultra-chic urban experience. As such, the hotel’s expected to attract new guests who have not yet stayed at the group’s existing properties across Jerusalem.
It’s also hoped that the scheme’s unique location within the Mahane Yehuda market will contribute to its overall appeal among travellers seeking authentic local experiences.
