NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort reopens on 18 December 2025 after a six-month renovation

Minor Hotels has confirmed the reopening of NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort on 18 December 2025, following a comprehensive six-month renovation. Located in the UNESCO-designated Baa Atoll, the resort reintroduces itself with upgraded villas, dining venues, and leisure facilities.

Formerly operating as Reethi Beach Resort, the rebranded NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort marks a significant milestone for Minor Hotels as it strengthens its presence in the Indian Ocean under the NH Collection brand. The resort is a 35-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport and is located less than 20 minutes from Hanifaru Bay, a globally recognized site for encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, and turtles.

Refreshed villas and new additions

The resort now offers 105 villas with both beach and overwater options. These have been reimagined to incorporate traditional Maldivian design elements alongside modern amenities. Sixteen new pool villas have been added to the resort’s inventory, providing guests with private plunge pools in addition to beach or lagoon access.

Beach Villas offer direct beachfront entry and sweeping ocean views, while Overwater Villas on the north side of the island are elevated above the lagoon, providing uninterrupted vistas and privacy.

Expanded culinary and leisure offering

The renovated resort introduces seven food and beverage outlets. Signature dining experiences include Alifaan, a beachfront grill focusing on flame-cooked dishes; Kaiyo, an overwater venue with an Asian-inspired menu; and Jumla, an all-day dining restaurant with a global selection. Additional outlets include Madumaithri, adjacent to the new beachfront infinity pool, and Aqua Bar, which serves casual bites near the main pool.

Evening entertainment will be found at Atardecer, the sunset bar offering tapas, cocktails, and DJ sets, while Handhuvaru, the island’s rum bar, offers a quieter setting. The Fine Dining wine cellar and the Adrift private dining service provide more exclusive experiences.

Guests can explore both marine and land-based activities, with snorkeling, diving, and a wide range of water sports available, including flyboarding, windsurfing, and hydrobiking. On land, the REVIVE spa delivers wellness programs inspired by natural surroundings. The resort also features a fitness center, games room, Kids’ Club, and courts for tennis, badminton, volleyball, and pickleball. NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort becomes the latest addition to the NH Collection portfolio, which includes more than 100 properties across Europe and the Americas. Its launch aligns with Minor Hotels’ broader strategy to expand its premium offerings globally, with the group now operating over 640 properties across 59 countries.
