Nayara Resorts has announced a new partnership with Tánica Hotels in Chile and added two impressive hotels in remote locations to its portfolio.

The resort brand, known for its three properties in Costa Rica, will now look after Tánica hotels in Chile’s Atacama Desert and on Easter Island. We find out more.

Nayara’s Chilean debut

Marking Nayara’s first foray outside of Costa Rica, this new partnership will see the brand market and oversee the 42-key Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa in the Atacama Desert, along with the 75-key Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa on Easter Island. It’s hoped that the partnership will retain the aspects that guests love these properties for, while also expanding their international reach.

Alto Atacama joined the Nayara Resorts portfolio on 23 October, becoming Nayara Alto Atacama. This hotel, which was created with the help of local artisans, introduces guests to its fascinating desert environment where salt mountains and lakes meet clear skies that are ideal for stargazing.

Meanwhile, Hangaroa on Easter Island will join Nayara’s portfolio as Nayara Hangaroa. This property immerses guests in the culture of the enigmatic island, offering memorable experiences like hiking the ancient Ara O Te Ao path.

An exciting new partnership

The two hotel brands were drawn together by their shared values and natural merging of DNA. Each takes pride in having one-of-a-kind properties in remote but accessible areas of extraordinary landscape, with a luxurious accommodation offering and attentive service, impressive green credentials and a commitment to supporting the community.

Much of the focus at these hotels falls on the experience, with activities and excursions ranging from early-morning birdwatching to seeing the sun set over the flamingo-dotted Atacama Salt Flat. All of the properties lie within places of pristine natural beauty, which the resorts embrace by connecting guests with nature and wildlife through eco-exploration. It’s envisaged that the first two hotels in this new partnership will pave the way for further collaboration in future.

All properties will now be represented by Bennett Mercado in the US.

“We have found a true partner in Tánica and are thrilled to expand Nayara through their incredible properties,” said Leo Ghitis, owner of Nayara Resorts. “Guests come to Nayara for the beautiful natural surroundings, the experiences and the warmth of our staff, and now we’ll be able to offer those core attributes beyond Costa Rica in two otherworldly locations.”

“The joint venture with Nayara is a way for us to continue offering our guests an unbeatable experience, now coupled with the over-the-top customer service for which Nayara is known,” added Christoph Schiess, chairman of Tánica Hotels. “Also, we share the same values of local community commitment and environment preservation, and together we will promote tourism in Chile with unique destinations such as Easter Island and Atacama Desert.”
