Ahead of the imminent launch of Steigenberger Airport Hotel Berlin, Deutsche Hospitality claims there has never before been a hotel located so close to an airfield.

Now that Berlin Brandenburg Airport has confirmed it’ll finally go live at the end of next month, it’s time for other businesses onsite to outline their plans.

Steigenberger Airport Hotel Berlin is one of them and Deutsche Hospitality has now confirmed that it’ll open its doors on the airport’s first day of flight operations, 31 October 2020. Hamburg-based developer ECE was in charge of development, leasing and realising the new hotel, as well as ensuring it’d be complete in time for the airport’s launch.

Unmatched convenience for guests

The stylish hotel’s unique selling point will undoubtedly be its proximity to the airport as it boasts a prime location only 100 steps away from Terminal One. However, it’s worth pointing out that the 322-key property is also just 30 minutes from downtown Berlin.

As for what guests can expect inside, Steigenberger’s latest outpost will feature conference and meeting facilities for up to 500 guests, plus an à la carte restaurant with an adjoining bar serving up delicious food and drink. In addition, a 300 sq m spa and wellness area will offer guests space for rest and relaxation, while a gym provides them with an opportunity to get a workout on the road.

A recipe for success

Steffi Wisotzky will head up the new Steigenberger hotel, which marks the brand’s third property in the German capital. Deutsche Hospitality is betting on Wisotzky to help make this launch a success after she recently proved her talent by turning IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof into one of the brand’s top-performing hotels.

“We are proud to be able to launch a Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts hotel at such a location,” said Denis Hüttig, vice president operations at Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts. “Our guests can expect to find an international business hotel, which will also act as the perfect base for short trips and holiday travel.”

Steigenberger Business Hotels are really big hotel culture originates from a grown symbiosis from tradition, experience and the atmosphere of the unusual.
