Christian Heckscher, artist, and principal at Lift design Inc., was awarded the creation and production of etched bronze elevator doors and select entry doors with custom finishes for the new Peninsula London.
Mr. Heckscher’s development of graphics, patterns, and special finishes for this high-end project began in close collaboration with the Peter Marino Architect team of New York City, NY. The unique, carefully refined taste for luxurious high-end modern architecture and interior design that characterize the Peter Marino style is being etched into the different patterns and finishes of Christian Heckscher’s work.
Although still in production, the more than 300 custom-made panels of hand-made patterns, samples, and meticulously researched finishes, promise a stunning result.
The craftsmanship involved in this grand project is a jewel of distinctive class and beauty in the crown of today’s field of luxurious hospitality.
This unique project adds to Christian Heckscher’s, and his company Lift Design, Inc.’s growing list of majors realizations of custom etched metal surfaces in five-star hotels worldwide.
