IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a franchise agreement with Senegindia SA to bring Holiday Inn SD City Dakar to Senegal. The 150-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 and will mark an important step in IHG’s growth strategy in West Africa. Valor Hospitality Partners, one of IHG’s trusted partners, will manage the property, continuing their strong expansion in the region.
Boosting Senegal’s urban growth
Holiday Inn SD City Dakar is part of the Diamniadio urban project, aligned with Senegal’s broader Sustainable Development master plan. Strategically located near Blaise Diagne International Airport and key landmarks such as the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre and Dakar Sports City, the hotel is ideally located to serve both business and leisure travelers.
As one of the world’s most recognized hotel brands, Holiday Inn continues to adapt to guest needs. The new hotel will feature the brand’s next-generation Open Lobby concept—a versatile space for work, dining, or relaxation. Situated within a secure mixed-use development, it promises modern comfort and reliable service, expanding Holiday Inn’s presence in Africa to 12 hotels.
