Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of the Ronil Goa hotel under the JdV by Hyatt brand in the state of Goa in India.

A property that’s been in operation for 35 years, the Ronil Goa hotel has now entered a new era, following its transformation by Hyatt, as it becomes the first five-star hotel in its vicinity.

Brand debut in the region

The newly opened Ronil Goa places guests on the Calangute Baga Road of north Goa. As well as being the first five-star hotel on this stretch, the boutique resort provides easy access to key tourist sites in the area, upscale shopping and entertainment, Dabolim International Airport Goa and Manohar International Airport Goa.

The hotel is aligned with the JdV by Hyatt brand ethos by bringing to life classic Goan hospitality through immersive experiences, which will include an entertainment programme, rejuvenation at Soul Station and the spa, an on-site DJ and inspired food and drink offering.

“Complementing our current portfolio of Hyatt brands in the country, the introduction of the JdV by Hyatt brand in India signifies a strategic milestone in Hyatt’s thoughtful expansion within the leisure market,” said Sunjae Sharma, Managing Director, India and Southwest Asia, Hyatt.

“We are excited for guests travelling to Goa to embrace this bold experience. Ronil Goa aligns seamlessly with the brand, which encourages living in the moment and celebrating the joy of life, making it a perfect addition to the portfolio. We look forward to further enhancing our distinctive brand footprint throughout the sub-continent.”

Gaurav Khaunte, Managing Director, Ronil Hotels and Resorts and Owner of Ronil Goa, commented: “We are very excited to witness Ronil in this new iteration as the first JdV by Hyatt hotel in India and Southwest Asia. We are looking forward to celebrating many milestones together with Hyatt as we embark on this new journey together.”

Somewhere to socialise and unwind

The resort is home to 135 guest rooms with balconies and amenities including complimentary mini-bars and signature Cedar Sandalwood bath products. Inside this resort distinguished by Indo-Portuguese architecture, inspiration is taken from the texture of shells, with fluted wall panels featured throughout.

Dining options celebrating international classics, a neighbourhood connection and the spirit of socialising then include the Ronil Bistro, serving farmhouse breakfasts and comfort food for lunch and dinner, and Patrão’s 24/7 bar serving small plates and Goa-inspired cocktails. The Hub features a swim-up bar, cabanas, sunken beds, a Jacuzzi, poolside barbecue and woodfired oven.

Gatherings will be hosted in 5,446 sq ft of event space, including Ronil Studio, The Loft and Garden. Other amenities at the hotel then include a Hyatt Loves Local shop and the 24/7 Stay Fit Gym.

Much of the hotel experience is centred around its two pools: Energy and Tranquil. The hotel also has a dedicated Experience Team who are on hand to share their expertise on everything at the resort as well as in the area.
