Hilton and NILE Hospitality have announced the signing of five Hampton by Hilton hotels in India under a strategic licensing agreement, marking the next phase of their long-term partnership. The signings are aimed at addressing growing demand in India’s mid-market hotel segment and will add to Hampton by Hilton’s global portfolio of more than 3,000 hotels.
Five hotels planned across key cities
The first group of Hampton by Hilton hotels in India will include two properties in Amritsar and one each in Vrindavan, Raipur, and Lonavala. Together, the five hotels will offer more than 350 keys and are expected to open over the next two years. The locations were selected to serve a mix of spiritual and leisure tourism, domestic business travel, and cities benefiting from infrastructure growth.
With these openings, Hampton by Hilton will enter several high-traffic markets where demand for branded midscale accommodation currently exceeds supply.
Brand experience with local adaptation
Hampton by Hilton is positioned in the upper midscale category and has been named the number one lodging franchise by Entrepreneur® for 16 consecutive years. For its India debut, the brand will introduce design, service, and amenity features adapted to local preferences, based on extensive consumer research.
Planned adaptations include optimized room and bathroom layouts, fitness centers at every hotel, and a strong focus on rest and sleep supported by high-quality bedding. Food and beverage offerings will feature a regionally inspired breakfast menu, a 24/7 coffee station, and “Sunny Sides,” a full-service restaurant concept serving complimentary breakfast and developed specifically for Hampton’s expansion in India.
Partnership and growth outlook
Hilton and NILE Hospitality described the signings as a milestone in their partnership, reflecting shared goals to expand access to quality, affordable stays across the country. The companies see strong potential for Hampton by Hilton in India as travel demand continues to rise.
Hilton operates a portfolio of 25 brands with approximately 9,000 properties and more than 1.3 million rooms across 141 countries and territories.
