Leading hotel management and investment company The Hotel Group (THG) has announced the opening of this new Redmond property, which it will manage on behalf of Kauri Investments and Washington Holdings. We take a look at THG’s sixth Hilton-branded hotel in the Puget Sound.

THG passes growth milestone

The Hilton Garden Inn Redmond Town Center marks The Hotel Group’s 50th new hotel opening in our 36-year history,” said Doug Dreher, president and CEO of The Hotel Group. “THG is thrilled to work with Kauri Investments and Washington Holdings on this new hotel with our best-in-class team who will continue to serve, inspire and deliver maximum investment value for our client partners, even during these uncertain times.”

The six-storey 177-room hotel aims to provide the ideal balance between modern amenities and warmth. Rooms come with signature bedding, in-room Keurig Coffee, miniature refrigerators and spacious work areas, with views of the surroundings bringing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest indoors.

Meanwhile, event spaces spanning 9,000 sq ft can cater to a host of different functions, from board meetings to cocktail receptions. And a 1,740 sq ft fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling windows, innovative equipment and a private yoga area heads up the lifestyle offering for now, which will be enhanced at a later date with a new dining venue.

A major new hotel for the bicycle capital

Besides being the location of Microsoft’s headquarters, Redmond is a playground for the employees of many other Fortune 500 tech companies. Its variety of pedal-powered activities and proximity to Marymoor Park, featuring over 600 acres of walking and biking trails, gives the city its well-deserved reputation as the bicycle capital of the Pacific Northwest.

“With the opening of Hilton Garden Inn, business and leisure travellers now have a new and conveniently located hotel to enjoy in Redmond, featuring Hilton’s CleanStay with Lysol protection, the brand’s enhanced standard of cleanliness” said Jeff Isenberg, general manager of Hilton Garden Inn Redmond Town Center.

“At a later date, we will be opening our restaurant Fork + Spoke Bar & Bites, offering a menu featuring high-quality, small-batch, locally sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour. Redmond is a dynamic city and home to numerous tech companies, as well as a multitude of outdoor and recreational activities, and we are excited to join the community.”

Hilton Garden Inn is the award-winning, upscale yet affordable hotel brand that continually strives to ensure today’s busy travellers have everything they need to be at their most productive on the road.
