Aman Group is further growing its Janu hotel and residences brand, with a new development in the UAE

Ultra luxury hotel group Aman has announced another project in the UAE for its Janu brand.

Janu Al Marjan Island will be the second destination for the Janu brand in the UAE, bringing a hotel and branded residences to Ras Al Khaimah. It will join Janu Dubai, which is currently in development and is expected to open in 2029.

Relaxed luxury beachside living

Imagined by Singaporean designers SCDA Architects, the project will feature a 132 room hotel, promising guests great sea views. As normal with a Janu property, amenities will include a wellness centre with yoga suite, gym and sauna. Food and beverage offerings will spread across two restaurants and a mixology bar. There will be a club for kids, and a vibrant nighttime venue is promised.

Outside, along the property’s private beach, there will be a beach club, offering a range of ways to enjoy the water. Residences will be located in an adjacent tower, with a mix of sizes having between one and five bedrooms, as well as a number of individual villas. The homes will be not far from the island’s marina, and the Wynn resort on Al Marjan Island.

“Ras Al Khaimah is rapidly emerging as one of the Middle East’s most captivating destinations, making it a natural home for our next Janu property,” commented Vlad Doronin, chairman and CEO of Aman Group.

The UAE development joins a growing pipeline of Janu developments. Two are in Saudi Arabia, where the 120 room Janu Diriyah is being built close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif; the hotel is expected to open in autumn 2026. It will be followed by the 250 room Janu AlUla, which is also under construction and will open in late 2027.

In Turks & Caicos, a resort and branded residences are being developed on a site close to the Northwest Point Marine National Park, with its white sand beaches for guests to enjoy. The property is scheduled for opening in early 2027. And in complete contrast, Janu Dubai will be in an urban setting with its 150 rooms in a city tower. The development will complete by late 2027.

Janu sits as the second brand within the Aman group, which currently has 36 luxury hotels and residence developments around the globe. Founded in 1988, the group has grown by delivering considered luxury at a range of intimate resorts, some remote and others created as havens in the city.

A growing US presence

The company’s main Aman brand goes from strength to strength, with half a dozen projects under construction and many more in planning. The first of these to open, in early 2026, will be Amanvari Los Cabos, in Mexico. Accommodation will be in pavilions spread across the landscape, with a beach pavilion forming the heart of the hotel.

In the USA, Aman Beverly Hills is under construction, for an opening planned in autumn 2027. Part of the much larger One Beverly Hills development, it will feature imaginative new botanical gardens for guests and visitors to enjoy. And Aman Miami Beach is being created from the refurbishment of the former Versailles Hotel, with both a hotel and residences promised.
