Growing third party manager Rebel Hotels has launched its own brand, Renegade Hotels

Hotel management group Rebel Hotels has launched a new brand into the US market, Renegade Hotels.

The brand will launch with three hotels in Clovis, California. The existing Fairfield Inn Clovis and Comfort Inn Clovis will convert immediately to Renegade, while a third project in the destination, a planned Hyatt Place in Clovis, will instead be completed to Renegade standards.

A new look for select service

“Select-service hotels are everywhere, but few operators dare to look beyond the standard playbook,” said Brian Sparacino, president and CEO of Rebel Hotel Company. “Renegade exists for owners who are done settling. We’re bringing the same independent mindset and performance-first approach that built Rebel’s success into a segment overdue for change.”

Rebel, which emerged as a business during the Covid pandemic, is still on a fast growth track as a third party property management specialist. It says its new in-house brand, Renegade, is simply a natural extension of its business, as hotel owners look for flexibility, better operational results, and an improved guest experience that feeds through, almost instantly in today’s multimedia climate, into great reviews online.

Rebel says its new brand will “continue to grow in partnership with owners seeking a creative, strategically nimble alternative to formulaic third-party operators”. It calls its new brand a “focus-service” offering that will appeal to a new generation of travellers, those who particularly seek out “authenticity, efficiency and style”. From its initial three properties – a third is also promised to be opening within 30 days – the brand will be honed for more broader geographical expansion.

Rebel claims a leading position in the US lifestyle hotel space, operating 25 properties with a major presence in key city markets. In New York, the group manages ten hotels, all operating under independent brand names.

In the New York area portfolio, the most recent addition to Rebel’s management portfolio is Ink 48, an upscale hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Signed in February 2025, the property has undergone a transformational makeover and its 222 rooms feature bright, airy interiors. The hotel’s Hudson VU bar is a great place to enjoy a drink in the open air, along with fantastic views across the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson river.

Among recent additions is the Delta Hotel in Woodbridge, New Jersey, part of the greater New York region. Signed by Rebel in 2025, the 312 room property is to enjoy a repositioning that will include a refresh of the hotel’s restaurant.

Mixing independent and chain flags

In Alabama, the group currently operates three hotels, all branded under Hilton flags. The St James Hotel in Selma, and Kelly Hotel in Birmingham both trade as members of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, while the Redmond hotel in Birmingham is a Curio Collection property.

In Florida, Rebel operates The Anton in West Palm Beach, which is listed as a Tribute Portfolio hotel. Also in Florida, the company manages the Skipjacks Resort and Marina in Marathon, a tropical oasis that includes a marina. And in Williamsburg, VA, Rebel operates the Williamsburg Inn as well as the Williamsburg Lodge, which is affiliated with Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
