Hilton continues rapid growth in Mexico with the signing of Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara, which is expected to open in 2028

Our latest Project of the Week brings us to Mexico with one of Hilton’s newer signings: Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara. Expected to open in 2028, the hotel will join Hilton’s portfolio of more than 90 hotels in Mexico and continue to strengthen its presence in the growing city of Guadalajara.

Locally inspired architecture and authentic design

Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara, owned by Trust Capital and managed by Hilton, will offer 170 guest rooms. The architecture will be developed through a collaboration between Estudio AMA and SOM, and the interior design will be completed by Esrawe Studio. The property will feature unique design concepts and sensory programming from custom music to signature lighting and even the brand’s distinct scent—to create an immersive guest experience.

Located in the heart of the Guadalajara metropolitan area, one of the city’s most energetic neighborhoods, this new luxury hotel aims to deliver an experience that is authentically rooted in the neighborhood.

Jenna Hackett, brand leader at Canopy by Hilton, said, “We are thrilled to introduce Canopy by Hilton to Guadalajara as we continue to expand the brand’s footprint of more than 40 high-end, boutique hotels in the most desirable destinations around the world. Canopy Guadalajara will deliver an inviting hotel experience that truly immerses guests in the best of the locale with sophisticated design, bespoke food and beverage, and premium amenities.”

Where lifestyle meets business: Dining, design, and event spaces

Rising seven stories, Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara will be part of Legend, a large-scale, mixed-use development that also includes high-end retail, office space, and residences. Food and beverage services will be a key feature of the hotel, which will include the following:

  • A lively lobby bar
  • An all-day restaurant
  • A scenic rooftop venue complete with a pool, bar, and restaurant

Guests will also be able to access boutique meeting spaces totaling 350 square meters (3,700 square feet) for all social and corporate gatherings.
