PPHE Hotel Group has reported good momentum across its development pipeline, with projects across Europe continuing on schedule.

As part of its H1 2022 results, the UK-headquartered firm reported that its art’otel brand developments remain on track.

On time art

Projects include London Hoxton (opening H1 2024), London Battersea Power Station (opening in late 2022), Zagreb (opening in Q2 2023) and Rome (opening H2 2023).

The group’s art’otel division is also heading across the pond with an upcoming conversion project in Manhattan https://app.tophotelprojects.com/hotels/30105, New York. The upper upscale site will add 98 rooms to the brand’s international portfolio.

Radisson rise

PPHE has also significantly extended its long-standing and successful partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, designed to enable both parties to further leverage their respective brand strengths. For PPHE, this should allow further diversification of market segments, increase growth prospects for its Park Plaza and art’otel strands in multiple new territories, and generate fee-based income.

The first PPHE hotel to operate and market under this new partnership was Grand Hotel Brioni Pula, which was relaunched as a Radisson Collection Hotel.

Leisure rebound

PPHE’s president and CEO Boris Ivesha reflected on the company’s latest results, commenting: “We are pleased to report a strong first half performance, which has been achieved by our exceptional teams despite the challenging backdrop. As covid restrictions have been lifted across all of our markets, leisure demand has rebounded strongly due to pent-up demand for travel, and our best-in class properties have been well-positioned to benefit from this trend.

“We continue to deliver on our development pipeline and were delighted to open Grand Hotel Brioni Pula in the period, as a Radisson Collection Hotel. It is our first hotel under our new strategic partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, with whom we maintain a strong and long-standing relationship. Whilst macroeconomic challenges remain, our attractive portfolio, strong financial position and excellent team leave us well-placed to take advantage of the continued recovery across our regions.”
