Hilton Worldwide has launched its third Canopy by Hilton property in China, continuing the lifestyle brand’s expansion across the country.

West Lake, Hangzhou’s famous Unesco World Heritage Site, is now home to the 27th Canopy by Hilton hotel globally. We find out more.

Unrivalled access to Hangzhou

Owned by Zhejiang Xingcai Investment Company, the 160-key Canopy by Hilton Hangzhou West is located only 26 km from the city’s international airport. It’s also just a short walk from West Lake and the popular HuBin Pedestrian Road, the city’s thoroughfare for business, retail and entertainment.

The hotel’s design reflects the city’s kaleidoscopic history as a hub of cultural diversity. Aspects of Hangzhou’s local culture and architecture are integrated into the design, meaning the property feels like a seamless and natural extension of the wider neighbourhood. Moreover, crafts and artwork by local artisans are displayed throughout the hotel for guests to enjoy.

“Famous for its rich cultural heritage and nature sceneries, Hangzhou West Lake is an increasingly popular leisure destination for travellers,” said Qian Jin, area president for Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton. “Following the huge success of the brand’s Asia Pacific debut in Chengdu and Hangzhou Jinsha Lake, we are thrilled to unveil Canopy by Hilton Hangzhou West Lake – our third Canopy by Hilton hotel in China.

“The property underscores our commitment to maintain strong growth momentum in Greater China and will continue to deliver positive hospitality experiences to our guests.”

The ultimate Hangzhou experience

Those staying at Canopy by Hilton Hangzhou West Lake will have no problems exploring the city for themselves; the hotel’s free bike-rental service ensures guests can get out and about with the minimum of fuss.

Meanwhile, state-of-the-art in-room sleep technology guarantees they’ll have a good night’s sleep. And there’s a varied F&B offering to explore, based on regional ingredients that shine the spotlight on Hangzhou’s culinary traditions while giving them a modern twist.

“We are on a positive growth trajectory for our Canopy by Hilton brand with the exciting opening of our third hotel in China and another five hotels due to open in other parts of Asia over the coming years,” concluded Nils-Arne Schroeder, vice president, luxury and lifestyle, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

For those seeking an energising experience, Canopy by Hilton is the hotel brand that creates a positive stay with its simple, guest-directed service and thoughtful, local choices.
