Described as the ultimate hotel for fitness and recovery, this new property is designed to empower guests to unlock their peak mental and physical potential.
A new hospitality concept
The inaugural property for Kerzner International’s new SIRO hotel brand, SIRO One Za’abeel is now welcoming its first guests within the One Za’abeel development in Dubai.
By bringing in cutting-edge digital technology along with world-class expertise, this new property is able to provide transformative wellness experiences that are guided by an integrated digital strategy and personalised guidance from wellness experts.
This hospitality concept, which was created in response to the increasing demand for this type of offering, is built around five biohacking pillars: nutrition, fitness, sleep, recovery and mindfulness. Personalised fitness and recovery programmes make use of the expansive Fitness Lab, advanced treatments, holistic classes and dedicated Recovery Lab for mindfulness practices.
“Prioritising fitness, recovery and self-care has become a way of life for many, and has evolved into pillar facet of modern life,” said Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer of Kerzner International.
“SIRO is our direct response to this new normal. It’s our incubator concept, a merging of science and innovation to create a space that not only positively blurs the lines of wellness and hospitality but also brings together a community of like-minded individuals who want to enjoy the immediate benefits of fitness while future-proofing their health.”
Fitness and wellness
The Fitness Lab is home to four studios hosting a range of 50 classes, from group cycling and boxing to pilates and yoga, each week. These specialist studios include the Experience Box, which is designed for signature SIRO classes, such as Power and Sculpt, with integrated features including a digital screen to track performance metrics.
This studio will also host classes that are created in collaboration with elite athletes, like Functional Fitness by AC Milan. Other fitness experiences from the hotel include off-site activities like mountain treks, golf sessions and desert bike rides.
The 31st-floor Recovery Lab then provides rejuvenation and tranquility, with a yoga studio for group sessions such as yoga, meditation and sound healing, and a Pilates room, as well as specialist rooms for IV therapy, red light therapy, sound and vibration Therapy, and cryotherapy.
Treatments offered here range from specialist massage to physiotherapy and cupping, with male and female zones featuring infrared saunas, steam rooms, thermo-regulated cold plunge pools and relaxation areas.
A tranquil hotel stay
Designed to balance comfort and wellness, the hotel’s guest rooms come with minimalist decor, floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with light, and thoughtful amenities such as thermo-regulating mattresses, blackout blinds and a recovery cabinet stocked with exercise essentials. In-room projectors provide access to virtual recovery sessions.
Guests can also opt to stay in one of the six Fitness Suites or six Recovery Suites. While the Recovery Suites come with amenities like a therapy bed for in-room treatments and bathtub with scenic views, the Fitness Suites are equipped with a mini private gym.
Wellness also comes into the hotel’s dining offering. The Refuel Bar offers grab-and-go options in its place adjacent to the Fitness Lab. Additionally, 24-hour in-room modular dining enables guests to build personalised meals, with the option to consult the in-house nutritionist for advice.
