The new Jaz in the City Vienna, created by Deutsche Hospitality in conjunction with MTK Group and BWM Architekten, offers music-inspired accommodation in Austria’s capital.

A sound choice for audiophiles, this Jaz in the City hotel-branded scheme is an ideal base for travellers looking to explore a city known for its strong links to the music world.

A new music hub

Jaz in the City Vienna is now hosting guests between Mariahilferstraße and the Naschmarkt in Windmühlgasse. In line with the lifestyle hotel brand’s overall philosophy, music is central to the hotel experience of this exciting new property.

New arrivals will be greeted in a reception area that acts as a record store, before being led to the property’s public spaces and guestrooms. The hotel is home to 163 stylish rooms and suites, each featuring a record player, along with multifunctional event facilities and The Rhythms Bar & Kitchen Restaurant.

The hotel will also host live music, from concerts to spontaneous sessions, on a daily basis, including performances in the Mariatrink Drinks & Views rooftop bar overlooking Vienna.

General manager Michael Fritz said: “Jaz in the City Vienna is in tune with the times and reflects urban attitudes. It provides inspiration and fires enthusiasm.

“We live for and alongside the local music and cultural scene and give artists a stage. Vienna has a superb club, cultural and restaurant scene, and our new hotel will complement this brilliantly.”

Making a mark in Vienna

Deutsche Hospitality has realised the project in partnership with two local businesses, property developer MTK Group and architectural firm BWM Architekten. Jaz in the City Vienna represents the German hotel group’s fourth brand in the city – it now has 733 rooms and suites, and event space covering a total area of 1,200 sq m.

Marcus Bernhardt, CEO of Deutsche Hospitality, said: “Deutsche Hospitality has entered a growth phase, and we are delighted to be able to launch a new hotel under our lifestyle brand in such a crucial location. Vienna is one of Europe’s top destinations in terms of quality of life and tourist services.”

Norbert Kettner, Vienna’s director of tourism, added: “Deutsche Hospitality is placing its trust in Vienna. It is investing here and looking to achieve healthy growth. This is a very welcome message, which cannot be appreciated highly enough in these tough times.”
