IHG Hotels & Resorts has just announced the signing of InterContinental Manchester – Deansgate, marking the fifth InterContinental in its UK and Ireland portfolio. Owned by Blue Manchester Hotel Limited, the 264-room hotel is expected to be fully rebranded by 2027 and will remain open to guests in the meantime.
Situated in the iconic Beetham Tower, one of Manchester’s tallest buildings, the hotel will span 22 floors and offer guests panoramic views of the city skyline. Its prime location on Deansgate is just steps away from Manchester’s top restaurants, retail outlets, and vibrant nightlife.
Refurbished luxury and comprehensive amenities
Following a comprehensive refurbishment, InterContinental Manchester – Deansgate will feature 264 guest rooms designed for both leisure and business travelers. The transformation, backed by significant investment, aims to elevate the property to a new standard of luxury and reinforce its status as one of the city’s premier destinations.

- Large ground floor podium bar and restaurant
- Indoor swimming pool, sauna, and steam room
- State-of-the-art fitness center
- 18 meeting rooms with 1,821 square meters (19,601 square feet) of event space
- Executive Lounge with complimentary refreshments for select guests
- Business center and high-speed WiFi throughout
- Private parking
The hotel’s event facilities are designed to cater to both social gatherings and major conferences, with flexible spaces and full technical support.

InterContinental Manchester – Deansgate will join IHG’s fast-growing luxury and lifestyle collection with more than 105 open hotels and 72 in development across Europe. This new hotel will join 34 InterContinental properties across Europe.
