IHG’s upper-upscale boutique hotel brand Hotel Indigo is continuing to grow its US footprint with the opening of a locally inspired 103-key property in the Lone Star State.
A stylish new accommodation option has sprung up in an up-and-coming part of Texas.
Showcasing the surroundings
The prolific Hotel Indigo brand has taken another step towards cementing its presence in the American South. Hotel Indigo Spring-Woodlands Area near Houston boasts a design that recalls Spanish colonial architecture, specifically the Spanish mission-style aesthetic that reflects the enduring influence of missionaries here.
Brandon Kitchen, general manager of Hotel Indigo Spring-Woodlands Area, said: “We are excited to offer a locally inspired experience unlike anything that has been done before in the Spring-Woodlands area.
“Every detail, from our amenities to our service, has been carefully curated to reflect the local neighbourhood. With our unique design and thoughtful touches taking cues from the local history, architecture, colours and culinary scene, we are able to provide guests a window to the neighbourhood through our hotel that inspires them to explore it for themselves.”
Style and substance at Hotel Indigo’s new outpost
This 103-key property is the latest project by hospitality management company Esperanto Developments. It has four generous suites, complete with wet bar, living area and separate ensuite bedroom.
Hotel Indigo Spring-Woodlands Area’s signature restaurant and bar, Crudo, boasts seasonal fare and craft cocktails, while also celebrating local businesses and musicians. The scheme also benefits from the inclusion of a lakeside swimming pool with bar, an onsite fitness centre and a private event space.
There are now 129 Hotel Indigo properties open globally, with a further 116 in the pipeline and scheduled to launch over the next three to five years.
