IHG Hotels & Resorts partners with SEDCO Capital to launch Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah, a 150-key lifestyle hotel within the city’s new Grand Square development

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with SEDCO Capital, a global investment firm, to launch Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah. The 150-key lifestyle hotel will be part of the Grand Square mixed-use development on King Abdulaziz Road, marking the first collaboration between IHG and the Saudi real estate investment fund.

The project is developed through a partnership that includes Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, MASIC Investment Company, and SEDCO Capital. Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah will be a key feature of the development, which combines hospitality, retail, and office spaces into one central destination, offering a modern living experience in the heart of Jeddah.

A lifestyle destination

The new Hotel Indigo will reflect the brand’s signature design philosophy, offering a neighborhood-inspired experience for guests. Each of the 150 rooms will reflect the culture and energy of the local area, combining creativity, comfort, and authenticity. High-end amenities will be available throughout the hotel, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for IHG in India, the Middle East, and Africa, said, “Lifestyle travel is becoming increasingly sought-after in the Kingdom, and we are looking forward to introducing another Hotel Indigo property in Jeddah. This signing not only strengthens our footprint in one of the country’s most dynamic cities but also supports Saudi Arabia’s broader ambitions to diversify its tourism and hospitality offering.”

A step forward in Saudi Vision 2030

Abdulwahhab Abed, CEO of SEDCO Capital, emphasized the significance of the project, stating, “This agreement reflects SEDCO Capital’s strategic direction to develop high-quality real estate assets that contribute to the Kingdom’s urban and economic development. Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah represents a pivotal step within an integrated urban project designed to serve the community and deliver added value to the real estate sector.”

The new hotel is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to boost the country’s tourism and hospitality offerings. IHG currently operates 46 hotels in Saudi Arabia and has 60 more in development over the next few years.
