Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina, which is owned by The St. Joe Company, is now hosting guests in 124 guest rooms and public spaces altogether spanning five storeys.
A coastal setting
The brand-new Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina provides an inspired setting for stays close to sites such as the Martin Theatre and Panama City Center for the Arts, as well as St. Andrews Bay, which is known for fishing grounds that are some of the most diverse in the Florida Panhandle.
On the opening, Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Hotel Indigo, commented: “The opening of Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina illustrates our brand’s commitment to doubling our portfolio globally over the next three to five years.”
“This seaside hamlet is truly one of a kind, so it made sense for us to open a property that not only breathes new life into the neighbourhood but is also a place where guests and locals can come together and immerse in this vibrant community’s past.”
Jean Capps, General Manager, Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina, added: “We are excited to be a part of the downtown Panama City community – offering guests and locals alike an upscale stay experience that beautifully celebrates the local area.”
Inspired design
Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina is a reflection of the seafront area it’s a part of with a design scheme that draws on the site’s history. Installations represent the indigo plants that once covered the sandy shoreline and nautical-inspired features depict the steam ships once prevalent here.
The hotel aims to become a neighbourhood go-to with its two new restaurant and bar concepts. Tarpons will offer a coastal-inspired menu with a Southern twist and the hotel’s rooftop bar Steam on 5 will serve seafood and light bites alongside cocktails.
Guests will also be able to make the most of a 24-hour fitness centre, marketplace, outdoor pool and firepit overlooking the bay, as well as 1,033 sq ft of event space and a 965 sq-ft outdoor patio.
Beyond this neighbourhood, guests will be within easy reach of sites such as Panama City Beach and the Port of Panama City.
