Hyatt Hotels Corporation has confirmed that its new 400-room Doha property, which is now taking reservations, will open on 15 September 2020.

The impending launch of Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha, the first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in Qatar and only the country’s third Hyatt hotel, will further add to the Middle East’s rapidly growing hospitality scene. This 400-room hotel lies near Hamad International Airport, just a short drive from the city centre, and is aimed at both business and leisure travellers.

Hyatt Regency on the rise

The Hyatt Regency brand has over 200 urban and resort locations in more than 30 countries, catering for everything from corporate meetings to family holidays. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and personalised service, these hotels and resorts typically offer a range of facilities, including the space to work and relax, culinary experiences, and highly efficient meeting and event planners.

Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha will offer 12 luxury suites and a variety of social spaces, including a Regency Club, three restaurants, two lounges, a pool bar and a jazz club. There will also be 10,700 sq ft of meeting and event facilities, with a state-of-the-art business centre, two ballrooms and 11 meeting and conference rooms.

“We are thrilled with our relationship with Dhiafatina Hotels, and we look forward to growing Hyatt’s portfolio in Doha,” said Srdjan Milekovic, senior vice president operations EAME, Hyatt. “We believe that Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha will become a key destination in the city, satisfying the needs of on-the-go business travellers with an exemplary setting for meetings and leisure, and attracting local guests looking for modern dining experiences.”

Diafatina starting to take off

“We are delighted to work with Hyatt on the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Qatar, a global brand with the calibre of offerings suited for this market,” said Philippe Anric, director of operations, Dhiafatina Hotels. “The Hyatt Regency brand perfectly aligns with both the business and leisure culture of the dynamic city of Doha and we look forward to providing an exceptional hospitality experience.”
