Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Wuhan Jianzhuo Real Estate Company Limited, a subsidiary of Wuhan City Construction Group Co., Ltd. (WCCG), have recently announced their plans to create a landmark luxury hotel together in the international metropolis of Wuhan. Four Seasons Hotel Wuhan is set to open in 2029 and will become a vital addition to Wuhan’s hospitality scene.
Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential, Four Seasons, says, “Four Seasons’ decision to establish a presence in Wuhan is driven by the city’s enormous potential, strategic location in central China, and endless charm. WCCG’s outstanding reputation and strong capabilities in urban governance and exceptional lifestyle services make them the ideal partner to join us in bringing Four Seasons guests to a new destination while delivering on our longstanding commitments to service-excellence, quality, and personalized experiences.”
Location highlights
Wuhan has become a dynamic economic, technological, and cultural hub that offers its residents and visitors a balance of charm and commerce. With over 300 Fortune 500 companies and significant transportation connections, Wuhan is the perfect choice for this luxury hotel. The Qingnian Metro Station is located right at its doorstep, the Wuhan Railway Station is only a short 30 minutes away by car, and the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is no more than 40 minutes away.
Located in the Hankou district—the city’s primary business and financial district— Four Seasons Hotel Wuhan will feature 220 rooms and suites. The new hotel will occupy the highest floors of the 53-storey Sky Center building and overlook the nearby Zhongshan Park (where activities such as tai chi and group dancing often take place—what a view from the guest rooms!).

Dining, event spaces, and amenities
When it comes time to dine, guests can choose from a variety of options. There are four dining venues available, both indoor and outdoor, including a rooftop restaurant with city views, a café-style lobby lounge, and a selection of local cuisine specialties.
For meetings and event spaces, Four Seasons Hotel Wuhan will offer versatile event spaces ranging from 600 to 8,000 square feet (55 to 743 square meters). This will include a wedding atelier and a grand ballroom. From a supplier’s perspective, this provides the perfect setting for products to shine and help create an unforgettable experience for guests.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is also planned, which will include private studios, two indoor pools, and a full-service spa with six treatment rooms. Additional amenities include an Executive Club Lounge with workstations, business center capabilities, and a fully equipped boardroom to meet various guest needs.
Partnership details
Wuhan City Construction Group (WCCG), founded in 2020 and a key partner in the project, ranks 378th among China’s Top 500 Enterprises in 2024 and is a top performer among the city-owned enterprises in Wuhan. This newest hotel development will join 11 other Four Seasons properties in China, including locations in Dalian, Suzhou, and upcoming projects in Shanghai and Xi’an.
