According to the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database, Pullman Hotels & Resorts currently has 13,078 keys in its pipeline – mostly in the APAC region.

Pullman Hotels & Resorts plans on opening 47 hotels with 13,078 rooms in the coming years. We take a closer look at these upcoming launches and highlight the ones you need to keep an eye on.

Pullman’s hotel openings by year

In 2021, 14 properties with 4,242 rooms are slated to go live – four schemes are already in the pre-opening phase. And 2022 will be similarly active, with 19 new hotels and 4,875 keys due for completion.

In 2023, things will slow down a bit. Currently, only six projects with 1,803 rooms are in the works for that year. For 2024 and beyond, meanwhile, eight schemes and 2,158 keys have been pencilled in to date.

Key growth regions for Pullman

Pullman’s expansion drive is focused on the APAC region; here, 34 hotels with 8,656 rooms are scheduled to open soon.

Given these figures, perhaps it’s not surprising that the brand’s three biggest national growth markets are all in APAC. China tops the charts with 21 ongoing projects, while Vietnam and the Philippines follow with four and three new properties respectively.

Elsewhere, with six new hotels, Africa takes second place in our regional rankings. The Middle East and Europe share the next spot with three properties apiece, while South America has one scheme on the cards at present.

Noteworthy projects on Pullman’s development slate

Pullman Changchun Beihu Hotel will be in the Beihu Technology Development Zone in Changchun City, China. This 490-room property will be part of a mixed-use project including commercial offices, apartments, conference centres and other high-end hotels. An opening date has been pencilled in for late 2022.

Also in China, Pullman Hangzhou Binjiang Excellence is another interesting project. Set to open in late 2022, it’ll bring 307 rooms to the city’s Binjang area. The hotel will consist of twin towers overlooking the city and the nearby Xili Lake, offering convenient access to Wu Chao Shan National Park.

Lastly, over in the Middle East, Pullman Sharm El Sheikh will complete an extensive renovation in early 2023; the resort will then feature 520 fully refurbished rooms in an appealing destination popular among European sunseekers. Two all-day-dining venues, three speciality restaurants and four bars and lounges will make up the impressive F&B offering. On top of this, guests can look forward to enjoying a variety of leisure facilities, including a spa and wellness area.
