Accor has signed a cooperation agreement for its first ever hotel in Tajikistan.

The deal with construction and investment company JSC Dallmark Ltd will see the Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts brand landing in Dushanbe in 2028.

Capital newbuilding

The new premium Swissôtel Dushanbe will offer traditional Swiss hospitality combined with local charm, refined gastronomy and wellness experiences.

Located in a spacious area in the heart of Tajikistan’s capital, the hotel will occupy an 18-floor newbuilding, offering guests 243 spacious and comfortable rooms, including a presidential suite and apartments equipped with facilities for long stays.

Abundant amenities

The hotel will offer a range of amenities including a spa and a modern fitness centre, as well as a convertible indoor swimming pool with a terrace and sunbeds.

The infrastructure will feature two restaurants, a Swiss café, a rooftop cocktail bar and a lounge with a cigar club on the top floor. Several spacious conference rooms and a ballroom will be provided for corporate and social events. Guests can also access two-storey underground parking.

Landmark project

Alexis Delaroff, chief operating officer of Accor New East Europe, commented: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Accor’s first hotel in Tajikistan and a new landmark project in the region. It is a great honour for us to contribute to the tourism sector of Dushanbe and share our international expertise with the local partners.

“Swissôtel is one of the world’s most widely recognised Swiss brands popular among both leisure and business travellers around the world for its elegant design and impeccable service. We are confident that the new Swissôtel in Dushanbe will quickly win the highest ratings from residents and foreign guests. I am grateful to our partners for their trust and hope that the signing of our flagship hotel in Dushanbe will become the start of many exciting new projects in Tajikistan.”

International level

Hamzaali Fazilov, director of JSC Dallmark Ltd’s representative office in Tajikistan, noted: “We are proud to introduce our new project, which will become one of the significant points on the map of Dushanbe in the future. The new hotel will feature an elegant design and an excellent range of services – it will surprise and delight every guest.

“We are incredibly pleased to cooperate with international hotel group Accor and are confident that together we will be able to introduce a new product of the highest international level on the market and attract more travellers to the capital – both from the countries of the region and from around the world.”

Nearby Swissôtels

Accor’s Swissôtel brand has already been busy planning sites in Tajikistan’s northwestern neighbour, Uzbekistan.

This Central Asian nation’s pipeline includes Swissôtel Tashkent, rebranding and upgrading an existing 173-key hotel in the country’s capital city by Q2 2024; and just northeast the 173-key Swissôtel Charvak will arrive in Q3 2024.
