Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has paved the way for a strong 2023 in south Asia by strengthening its regional foothold with the signing of 12 hotels across its brand architecture.

Across the Radisson Blu, Radisson Red, Radisson, Radisson Individuals and its brand extension Radisson Individuals Retreat lines, the new hotels will collectively add over 1,000 rooms to RHG’s network between 2023 and 2026.

Indian Park

The group further introduced India-focused brands like Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, bolstering its brand infrastructure in the country. Tailor-made for the Indian market, the brand is designed to deliver a warm and heartfelt hospitality experience in a modern yet familiar home-like setting. RHG signed a strategic partnership with Ruptub Solutions to develop a pipeline of 150 hotels under the brand over the next decade with the first hotel to debut in Guruvayur, Kerala in Q2, 2024.

Nearly 80% of the new deals marked the group’s entry into India’s up-and-coming leisure destinations with hotels dotted across Palampur, Kasauli, Nainital, Jim Corbett, Goa, Gandhinagar, Ramnagar, Nainital, Dhanbad, Amritsar, and Chandrapur. It also signed two new hotels in Nepal: Radisson Hotel Bhairawa and Radisson Hotel Biratnagar

Nepalese pair

The first Nepalese addition, the 103-room Radisson Hotel Bhairawa, is closest to the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and will be equipped with facilities like a tea lounge and lounge bar, all-day dining, multiple functional halls, a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a spa, etc. The hotel is expected to open in 2024.

Radisson Hotel Biratnagar will deliver 145-room keys to the industrial capital of Nepal. When open, guests will have access to comfortable and spacious rooms along with amenities including a swimming pool, gym, spa, specialty restaurants, and a 10,000 sq ft of banquet area. The hotel is expected to open in 2024.

Amritsar augmentations

Two Radisson properties will be heading to the northern Indian city of Amritsar. One of them will be the second hotel under the Radisson Red brand in India: Radisson Red Amritsar. Suited to leisure travellers, the hotel will offer amenities like a lounge bar, swimming pool, and gymnasium when it opens in 2026.

In the same municipality, Park Inn by Radisson Amritsar GT Road will be suited to host large events in its ballroom. Offering 150 rooms, the hotel is equipped to meet the needs of leisure and business travellers once it completes in 2025.

Further south in the country, the 120-room Radisson Hotel Chandrapur will offer accommodation across categories including presidential suites, executive suites, and standard rooms. It will also house a rooftop restaurant, functional halls, board room, meeting room, and banquet garden to accommodate various events. The hotel is expected to open in 2026.

Individual growth

The Radisson Individuals soft brand for more independent hotels will grow its number across India too. This year will see four openings for the conversion line in the country. These include Gift City Club, a member of Radisson Individuals in Gujarat’s central business district. The 103-room hotel will offer spacious rooms, strong interiors, extensive meeting and function space, and additional amenities like a fitness centre, swimming pool, lounge, deli, amphitheatre, and large open lawns.

Another is Namah Resort Jim Corbett, a member of Radisson Individuals. Situated near Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, the resort will feature three room categories, including premium rooms, superior rooms and suites. The resort will also be equipped with amenities like a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, specialty restaurants, and a 6,000+ sq ft banquet area.

The third addition will be Uday Palace Navsari, a member of Radisson Individuals, the first branded offering in the Navsari district. The 100-room hotel will have a dedicated vegetarian kitchen. Rounding out the quartet is Grand Mirage, a member of Radisson Individuals, which will offer spacious and comfortable rooms along with diverse food and beverage options with amenities like a tea lounge, lounge bar, and all-day dining including a show kitchen.
