A stylish new hotel occupying a historic site in the much-visited New England town of Brunswick, The Federal features 30 guestrooms split across two buildings.
The Federal, an exciting hospitality scheme in Brunswick, Maine, has opened its doors.
Giving a historic site a new lease of life
Hotel management and consulting company Principal Hospitality has announced the launch of its inaugural project, The Federal, in downtown Brunswick, Maine. Located on the former site of The Daniel and Captain Daniel Stone Inn, which was constructed in 1810, it spans two separate buildings, including the onetime residence of Captain Daniel Stone himself.
“This property holds such rich history dating back centuries,” said Gerard Kiladjian, founder of Principal Hospitality. “We’re honoured to have the opportunity to reimagine the site and elevate the guest experience for a modern sensibility.
“The Federal and our new restaurant will be a welcoming destination for those who come from near and far to experience coastal Maine.”
In the heart of the action
The Federal has an enviable location halfway between Portland and Boothbay Harbor, just off Route 1. Its 30 guestrooms comprise a mix of luxury suites, premium rooms, king-size rooms and queen-size rooms.
A pair of meeting rooms, The Anchor Room and The Chart Room, can accommodate 50 and 35 attendees respectively. There’ll also soon be a farm-to-table destination restaurant, which is scheduled to open in April 2022.
