A new multi-hotel signing in Germany has catapulted forward the growth of IHG latest conversion brand, Garner, giving it an immediate strong presence in the German market.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a long term agreement that is set to double its hotel presence in Germany. A partnership with German operator Novum Hospitality will see Novum’s current portfolio and pipeline properties, totalling up to 119 hotels, convert to IHG brands over the next few years.

Of its total pipeline count, IHG says more than 40% is already under construction. The mix by segment is 52% midscale, and 48% in upscale and luxury.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a letter of intent to launch its midscale conversion brand, Garner, in Japan later this year.
