Radisson Hotel Group and Cycas Hospitality are joining forces to create an all-suite property in the south of Amsterdam, which will start welcoming guests from early 2021.
Radisson is preparing to launch an upscale extended-stay hotel, Radisson Hotels & Suites Amsterdam South, as part of a strategic collaboration with Cycas. We find out more about this exciting project, which represents the hotel group’s sixth hotel either in operation or under development across the Netherlands.
Radisson expands serviced-apartment brand in Europe
Dutch hotel management company Cycas Hospitality has signed up to operate the property under a lease agreement with Echo Partners, which recently purchased the hotel for its Echo Fund. Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South will be located in the corporate district of Amstelveen, not far from major employers like KLM, Canon and KPMG.
Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We are proud to launch our first extended-stay product in western Europe, marking our 54th serviced apartment in EMEA.
“As an asset class, extended-stay has been increasingly resilient and relevant in recent times. We are delighted to be partnering with Cycas Hospitality in such a key European market as Amsterdam and look forward to welcoming our first guests together in early 2021.”

Spoilt for choice
The 227-unit Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South will offer a wide array of choices when it comes to accommodation. Spread over ten floors, guests of the extended-stay property will be able to choose between studio, one- and two-bed apartments, each complete with a fully equipped kitchen. Common areas that guests will also have access to include a gym, bar and restaurant and underground parking.
Asli Kutlucan, chief development officer at Cycas Hospitality, said: “We are excited to be opening our first hotel with Radisson Hotel Group and with Echo Partners. It says a great deal for the calibre of these organisations that we were able to negotiate a key signing during the Covid19 lockdown.”
