Andaz Dubai The Palm now welcomes guests into an artistic abode rich in Emirati culture and hospitality.

Hyatt is celebrating the opening of its inaugural Andaz hotel in Dubai. The Andaz Dubai The Palm opened in December 2019 and joins other Andaz properties in some of the world’s most coveted destinations.

We find out more.

Andaz lands in Dubai

Hyatt’s luxury lifestyle brand Andaz has made its first mark in the Middle Eastern city of Dubai with its new hotel, the Andaz Dubai The Palm. This is the brand’s second property in the UAE, with another hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The 217-key hotel includes 34 suites (featuring one Terrace Suite, one Prince Suite and one Royal Suite) and 116 residences and offers guests a unique opportunity to explore the bustling scene at Dubai’s premier destination, the Palm Jumeirah.

“The bustling Palm Jumeirah island serves as the ideal location for guests to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of Dubai,” said Kifah Bin Hussein, general manager, Andaz Dubai The Palm.

“The hotel is created for the inquisitive traveller. Set in a vicinity known for luxury and exclusivity, Andaz Dubai The Palm reflects the city’s eclectic style, showcased through local artist exhibitions and unique culinary offerings.”

Local art and culture at Andaz Dubai

Given that Andaz is a lifestyle brand, it is perhaps no surprise that there is a heavy focus on local culture, art in particular. The hotel celebrates local art and artists by staging rotating pop-up exhibitions on the property’s walls, so guests can get a taste of Dubai’s thriving art scene.

There are also other features guests will recognise from contemporary lifestyle hotels, such as the unfussy check-in and the comfortable, sophisticated guest rooms inspired by Emirati culture.

While staying at the Andaz Dubai The Palm, guests can indulge in gourmet cuisine from one of the property’s five restaurants, which offer everything from local flavours at The Locale neighbourhood eatery to Japanese Izakaya at the stylish Hanami dining room.

There are also several entertainment options at the hotel, such as the Knox speakeasy, which boasts signature cocktails and a lively atmosphere, and the La Coco nightclub, which will open in 2020.

State-of-the-art spa facilities offer relaxing and rejuvenating treatments and business travellers can avail of the ample meeting and event spaces the hotel has on-site.

Andaz represents a refreshing take on the boutique-style hotel. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed.
