At Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, 13 Skyfold walls are used to maximise floor space. With the touch of a button, the ballroom and meeting rooms can be reconfigured in a matter of minutes without any obtrusive, time-consuming manual labour.

Located in one of Dubai’s most sought-after areas, the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is a luxury resort where every detail focuses on wellness. The resort’s spacious rooms and suites enjoy a contemporary feel, with stunning views of the ocean that is just on their doorstep to outstanding vistas of this vibrant city. It is the closest beachfront resort to downtown Dubai, and only a stone’s throw from the business and financial district, making it a much sought-after venue for hosting high-end corporate events.

As landscape was limited, maximising both indoor and outdoor space was therefore critical in developing the hotel property into an oasis that blended tranquility, functionality and design.

In order to provide unparalleled service and flexibility for the needs of its clientele, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira chose Skyfold walls to maximise its square footage, making sure that every inch of space was used to the fullest. In the end, a grand total of 13 Skyfold Classic 55s were deployed in the ballroom, meeting rooms and show kitchen. With the touch of a button, these spaces could be reconfigured in a matter of minutes without any obtrusive, time-consuming manual labour.

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira boasts a 700 sq m ballroom with high ceilings and enormous windows that overlook the ocean. With the use of Skyfold’s retractable walls, this elegant space can be transformed into three smaller, equally beautiful spaces.

The large-scale venue is perfect for grand events such as weddings, parties and galas, and the pre-function area can also be combined with the ballroom for additional space. Because Skyfold walls tuck away into the ceiling and have no floor or ceiling tracks, the aesthetic design of the ballroom is never compromised at any time. They are beautifully finished with premium fabrics that complement, and even enhance, the existing décor.

On the other side of the hotel, four naturally lit, elegant meeting rooms can be further divided into seven separate spaces for smaller gatherings. The rooms can be opened up to an outside terrace and all have videoconferencing capabilities to host Mindful Meetings – a phenomenon that combines design, environment and cuisine to create a space for patrons that increases focus and productivity while decreasing stress. The creation of ‘relaxation zones’ can also be incorporated into these meeting spaces, and the rooms used for corporate meetings, parties or private dinners, all thanks to Skyfold technology.

Skyfold solutions are not just acoustic walls that reconfigure spaces; they are state-of-the-art, multipurpose design pieces that enhance any space. All the Skyfold walls chosen for Mandarin Oriental Jumeira have an STC rating of 55, ensuring that noise from one event does not disturb another event going on next door.
