Following major renovations, the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest welcomes guests under new Unbound umbrella

A historic building in Budapest has undergone a massive transformation to become the new Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest.

The property has been welcomed into The Unbound Collection family, a group of luxurious and individual hotels in Hyatt’s portfolio.

We find out more.

A piece of Budapest’s history now a hotel

The Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest celebrates all things Art Deco in the Hungarian capital.

Located in a former shopping arcade inspired by the Parisian gallerias, this historic building once housed various retail outlets, glamourous cafes and Budapest’s central bank.

It has undergone an impressive and extensive renovation to begin its new life as the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, which is part of Hyatt’s luxury The Unbound Collection.

The design harks back to the “Passages des Panoramas” in Paris, from which the hotel takes its name, as well as Arabic, Gothic and Moorish design histories. These can be traced in the existing design elements, and are representative of Hungary’s fascinating, multicultural past.

Tamas Fazekas, general manager of Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, spoke of the opening, saying, “We are proud to open this extraordinary property to travellers looking for a one-of-a-kind experience. The hotel represents Hungary’s impressive architecture and craftsmanship; a place which residents and travellers have treasured for decades. We are looking forward to welcoming guests to the hotel and letting them discover the stories of the location and, possibly, find their own new ones.”

Stunning design and one-of-a-kind offering

The hotel boasts 110 guest rooms, each carefully designed and executed in an Art Nouveau style with flourishes of Moorish and Gothic decoration to be in keeping with both the building’s and Budapest’s rich history. Guest rooms are joined by 18 luxury suites and two Royal Residences.

Guests can choose from two dining options, the Párisi Passage Cafe & Brasserie which serves both local and international dishes and wines, and the Patisserie & Café which offers samples of some local Hungarian chocolate and pastries.

Those looking to relax can head to the state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre, and business travellers will be delighted with the flexible meeting spaces which can hold up to 160 people for meetings, conferences or events.
