Occhio illuminates Ayuryoga Hotel

In the Belgian Ayuryoga Hotel, once a monastery, everything revolves around harmonising body and mind. Light plays a central role here; not only as an external energy source but also as an internal remedy for body and mind.

The connection between inside and outside

Ayurvedic architecture emphasises the use of natural light to create a soothing and healthy environment. In the former monastery, whose history dates back to the 18th century, colorful stained glass windows play with the light of the sky. With the holistic system from Occhio, the filigree interplay on the outside is continued on the inside. It deepens the natural nuances of the interior, emphasises textures and surfaces, and unites the interior design concept into a place of peace and contemplation.

Cosiness in the moonlight

The design of each of the five rooms draws on nature. The moon was the inspiration for the design of the Luna series. The Occhio fireball appears to float in the mirrored glass sphere of Luna sospeso and Luna basso. Intuitively, via »touchless control«, the light of the moon transforms the earthy, warm colors and textures of the rooms into cosy retreats.

Pure egoism

The io series responds with brightness to the apparent touch on the luminaire head. Intuitive, with a simple gesture and rotatable in three dimensions, io can be positioned on the floor or on a table to suit individual requirements. More about io tavolo.

The centre of power

The VegeTable restaurant energises in many ways – with energetic food, good conversation, and stimulating light. In the open and soothing ambience, it’s up to the guest to decide whether to socialise at the table, in the circle of Mito or the privacy of the soft light of Sento.

The sacred hall

A multifunctional space whose original spirituality today provides room for zeitgeist and transformation. The flowing shape of the io sospeso allows the room to shine without taking away its power. Thanks to an ingenious magnetic catch, the lens can be configured in different ways and the lighting effect can be adapted precisely to the respective situation. The Mito sospeso at the head of the room rounds off the harmonious overall picture and creates symmetry.
