Managing director Hans Purdom and the R&D team had been searching for the best way to eliminate the use of riser door piano hinges forever, but had come up empty-handed each time…that was until Hans was cooking on his BBQ on a sunny autumn afternoon in 2014. There, on his BBQ door, was the solution Selo had been searching for.
From that day forward, the Quadra became the first ever riser door to be hung on a quick release pivot hinge, taking it to the number one riser door in the world.
