Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has recently announced that it has reached an agreement that will see the company managing a new resort with an accompanying set of branded residences in Muscat, Oman. This property, stakeholders involved with the project have said, is expected to have an opening date sometime in 2021.
Once the property has been completed, Mandarin Oriental Muscat will feature a total of 150 guest rooms along with suites, five restaurants and bars, a spa at Mandarin Oriental and an outdoor swimming pool for parties and guests. The property will also boast a wide array of banqueting and meeting spaces that will accommodate social and business events to be held on site.
Other Duties for Mandarin Oriental
In addition to the duties detailed above, Mandarin Oriental will also manage 155 residences at Oman, and among these will be some of the most select and private apartments in the capital city. They will be quite spacious, too, ranging in size from 75 to 260 square meters.
The property will also have a much sought after location, with plans calling for it to be located on the beach in a prime city locale. It will also boast a low-rise architectural design, which will as a result enable the property to take full advantage of the breathtaking views over the nearby Arabian sea. The developer is Eagle Hills Muscat, a private real estate investment and development company.
“Muscat is an entrancing destination with character, charm and an abundance of visitor attractions. We are delighted to have the opportunity to expand our brand presence on the Arabian Peninsula with this exciting project in partnership with Eagle Hills,” said , group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental, in a statement about the agreement. “We look forward to bringing Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service standards to Muscat.”
