Island bolsters portfolio with extended-stay hotel in the City of Angels

Home2 Suites by Hilton Woodland Hills Los Angeles, a seven-storey property with 170 keys catering for business and leisure guests, is now being run by Island Hospitality Management.
Another Californian scheme has joined Island Hospitality Management’s impressive roster.
Strategic expansion
The third-party management company has taken over running of Home2 Suites by Hilton Woodland Hills Los Angeles, which is located in the heart of the Warner Center mixed-use development at 21110 West Oxnard Street.
“We continue to specialise in quality assets in markets with high barriers to new entry with multiple demand generators that are better able to weather market fluctuations,” said Gregg Forde, chief operating officer and executive vice president, Island Hospitality Management. “The Home2 Suites by Hilton Woodland Hills Los Angeles marks our third Home2 and our 30th Hilton-branded property in a state where we’ve operated successfully for many years.
“Our familiarity with the brand and the area will allow us to ramp up the hotel more expeditiously as we are able to share best practices and economies of scale. This will allow us to better serve the business and leisure guests who seek the additional space and amenities provided by an extended-stay product like the Home2.”
The property benefits from the experience of tenured personnel who’ve come out of Island’s Pathways Program.
Catering for extended stays
Spanning seven storeys, the Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel is home to an array of handy amenities in addition to its 170 suites. For example, travellers can make use of the property’s indoor pool, state-of-the-art business centre, 24-hour fitness centre and 342 sq ft of event space.
Each suite comes with separate living, sleeping and dining areas, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and oversized workspace. There’s also a complimentary breakfast service and free wifi.
Guests can refuel at a newly opened F&B venue, Toasted Barrel, which is the second outpost of Island’s dining concept centred around the idea of an all-American bourbon-forward restaurant. The 1,200 sq ft, 20-seat bar has more than 60 bourbons to choose from and serves small plates, including a range of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches.
