Radisson Blu Olympiyskiy Hotel opens with a spring in its step
‘Tis the season to open a new hotel in Moscow, according to Radisson.
Drawing on the changing of the seasons and the conclusion of winter, the new Radisson Blu Olympiyskiy Hotel welcomes guests with a spring theme.
Heralding the year’s new beginning, the hotel went all out by offering guests the chance to participate in a lottery where the grand prize was a weekend trip to Amsterdam for two. Other prizes in the draw included a cocktail from the mixologist behind the ARILD bar.
In the spirit of spring in Amsterdam, the hotel was decorated lavishly with over 3000 tulips, a common sight in the Dutch countryside, as well as tandem bikes and windmills, whetting guests’ appetite for the opening night’s main prize.
While waiting for the evening meal prepared by the in-house chef Rodion Nefedov, guests could sip drinks all the while listening to relaxing lounge music before heading out to celebrate the rest of the evening on the spring-themed FireLake Terrace.
Guests also partook in creating a puzzle of Moscow from pieces they were given upon arrival to the opening ceremony. As a parting gift, each guest received a colourful wooden tulip as a memento.
